| Resort Information
Brian Head Resort is the southwest’s
favorite winter family destination. The only U. S. ski and snowboard resort
honored as a “Top Family Getaway” in 2002 by the Family Travel
Forum, it provides a great vacation value unmatched by any other winter
destination in the region. A popular drive destination from Las Vegas,
Phoenix, and Southern California, Brian Head Resort has 50+ runs and receives
over 400 annual inches of dry Utah powder. To complement its generous
snowfall, it is set amidst the backdrop of the spectacular red-rock formations
of Cedar Breaks National Monument. The Resort features a safe, uncrowded
small-town atmosphere; consistent snow conditions; over 2,000 lodging
units in the area; and inexpensive lift ticket and lodging values.
One reason Brian Head Resort was honored by the Family
Travel is the Resort’s Navajo Lodge Learning
Center, an entire facility and mountain dedicated
to kids and newcomers to winter sports. Navajo
Mountain features two chairlifts, a surface lift,
a beginner terrain park, and ten beginner runs,
accompanied by a full-service learning environment
for all ages. The Resort’s renowned Kids
Camp for kids 12 and under provides state-licensed
day care and affordable, fun all-inclusive packages
for ages 3-12. For more advanced skiers and snowboarders,
Giant Steps Mountain offers plenty of options,
with a wide variety of intermediate and advanced
slopes and three terrain parks serviced by four
chairlifts. Resort guests complement their on-snow
experience by “Burning Rubber” at
one of the region’s best Snow Tubing Parks,
open daily starting in mid-December. It’
like a big frozen water slide! Additional area
activities available to guests include snowmobiling,
a full-service Day Spa, horse-drawn sleigh rides,
cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, and the
American Children’s Christmas Festival in
nearby Cedar City.
The Resort’s proximity to Utah’s national parks
and Las Vegas affords guests the opportunity to create new and fun winter
vacation experiences. Our Ski Las Vegas packages allow our guests to experience
the excitement and endless entertainment options of Las Vegas, and enjoy
skiing and snowboarding great Utah powder in the same trip! Nearby Zion
