What a wonderful way to spend the day! Travel through Las Vegas by motor coach to the mighty Hoover Dam, as a breath taking view of Lake Mead awaits you as we wind down the hill on the same road the workers who built this great structure traveled when they left their homes in Boulder City. Once at the Dam, look for the colorful Arizona Paint Pots as they contrast against the volcanic rock of Black Mountain. Keep your eyes open for Big Horn Sheep! Your visit to Hoover Dam allows 2 hours for you to thoroughly explore this great structure and Observation Decks. You will discover why it is considered one of the "modern engineering wonders of the world."
Now included with your tour is access to the Visitor's Center & Old Exhibit hall. Please note: This is NOT the Discovery Tour which includes an elevator ride to the Observation platform overlooking the power generators.

The Ethel M. Botanical Cactus Garden features four acres of drought-tolerant ornamentals, cacti, and other succulents. With a landscape base of 15,000 cubic yards of sandy fill and a special planting soil, the beds were raised and rookeries constructed using 400 tons of rock, thereby providing the best possible viewing experience for visitors. Over 300 species of plants can be found on the grounds. Half are cacti and succulents largely native to the American Southwest, and the rest are desert trees and shrubs from the Southwestern United States, Australia, and South America. All of these plants were chosen both for the beauty of their floral displays and their ability to adapt to the climate of Southern Nevada. The types of rock used are Utah Bali Hai chocolate and Arizona moss rock (from the Grand Canyon region). The Ethel M. Chocolate Factory will tempt you with Caramels & Nuts, Truffles & Cremes, Deluxe Assortments, Liqueurs, Sugar Free, Milk, & Dark Chocolates!!!
NOTICE:
On all Hoover Dam tours, due to increased security, no bags, cases, backpacks, or fanny packs will be allowed inside the Visitors Center. Strollers and wheelchairs are subject to search. Cameras and small camera bags are permitted. There are no diaper changing facilities on the motor coach, therefore children in diapers cannot be accommodated.
