 Le
Réve, French for The Dream, truly
is a small collection of imperfect dreams. This
artful, acrobatic show by Franco Dragone, Cirque
du Soleials former creative director, plays out
in a pool of water instead of a stage.
The theater is designed in the round with no
seat further away than 42 feet from the stage.
Center stage features concentric circular bodies
of water, bridged on three sides by platforms
leading to tunnels beneath the stands. A massive
globe hangs above the water. Three giant clocks
surrounding the stage conceal the live band, which
provides the shows soundtrack. The domed ceiling
is ringed with a bank of digital windows which
display banks of unmoving classical statuary.
By the time Le Réve begins, when water,
fire and smoke turn the gentle pools into baptismal
fonts for new characters, you are so engaged in
the dream that when an animatronic tree and an
enigmatic figure rise from the water, you may
will question how a performer just appeared from
an imppossibly deep pool of water without ever
stepping into it.
 Le
Réve features outstanding acrobatics from
the spectacle of characters diving into the water
from amazing back flips and dives from an 80-foot
drop from the domes crown. There is also subtle
endearing moments of humor, usually provided by
the clowning angerls, who poke fun at the seriousness
of the performers and the performance, while at
the same time experiencing their own misadventures.
From purifying rain showers and delicate haunting
snowfalls to battles in the sky and sultry underwater
choreography, Le Réves' dreams will touch
every corner of your soul.

This show features one scene of slight nudity
featuring a topless acrobat. However, this show
is child friendly. Children must be 12 years or
older.
The 1606 seats (down from 2087) will provide a more comfortable and luxurious space for the entire audience. Luxe fabrics, plush chairs and a warm blend of cocoa, bronze and deep reds complete the feeling of elegance and style.
